Another good showing by team Lightning tonight. We rolled to a 3-0 record with a 5-0 shutout over K.O.A. I didn't have any goals nor assists tonight, but I did have to leave the field due to injury... twice. In the first period my teammate (Steve Riley) had a line drive shot on goal that I blocked with my... umm... nether regions. Ouch! A little rest and Gatorade on the sideline and I was good as new. During the second period I was down in the corner, scrapping for the ball when an opposing player took a powerful swing at...
Those of you who know me probably know that I'm not big sweet foods. I usually avoid things like icing, cake, chocolate (except some of the dark varieties), doughnuts, and such like the plague. Actually I often avoid all snacks come to think of it - save for the occasional bag of Andy Capp's Hot Fries. Anyhow... I've recently rediscovered a long lost favorite snack food from my childhood. Milk and cookies. But not just any cookies - Oreo cookies! A hand full of Oreo's and a short glass of icy-cold milk were essential to my homework/studying habits... right along with a ruler, box...
Lightning, the co-ed soccer team that Carli and I play for, is off to a great start for the 2007 Indoor season. For those who don't know, we play year round here in Columbus. During the spring and summer seasons we play in a couple of outdoor at various parks around the city, and in the fall and winter we play indoor at All-Stars Family Sports (up at The Continent). We've started off our '07 (winter) indoor season with a bang. Last week we defeated Got Beer by a score of 7 - 3.This week we squeaked by TFS Thunder... Thunder...
No real news to report here... just some screwing around. This is a picture of my cousin, Hayden, and I wearing our World Wrestling Championship belts. We were over at his parents' house one night a few days before Christmas and he had these two belts laying out. As a kid I was a huge Hulk-a-maniac, so naturally I had to put the belt on... just like I used to do after winning it all in one of our living room Royal Rumbles. Although this time I didn't have to do a flying suplex off the top rope (a.k.a. -...
This isn't a full blog post. I just wanted to share a link to another post that I just made on my other blog.
To sum it up, I got pulled into the latest Internet meme and the post covers the Five things you don't know about me. Since the post is in no way a technically focused one, I thought you all might enjoy it.
So, go enjoy it already!
Not much to say, just had to get that out there. I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Year's Eve celebration... I know I did. And to prove it, I'll share a few pictures of the night's events with all of you. Enjoy!
As riveting as my posts about topics like the latest version of Subtext and custom output caching in ASP.NET might be... I've come the realization that the majority of my (non-techie) friends and family just don't care. I know... WTF, right? Taking a page from Phil's book, I decided I was going to start a new blog (this one) that was much less focused on technical topics and more centered around the other aspects and happening in my life. I even asked you to help me come up with a URL for the new blog. Many thanks to all whom offered suggestions - be...
